Poor, pitiful Livejournal
Me
[info]amplifiedmouse
I created my Livejournal on June 21st of 2001. Since then I've used it pretty much exclusively. Although there have been lapses in time where I haven't used it. For a while I was blogging on my old website. (amplifiedmouse.com)

I've always seemed to come back to LJ, though. My friends list used to flourish with posts from people that I both knew personally & that I met through communities on LJ. But tonight I logged into LJ & looked at my friends page...

I had to go back 4 pages before I saw a post that wasn't in a community. That never happened 5 years ago.

Although it is a bit ironic that I'm typing this in wordpress. Not that I consider myself a "blogger" by any means, but it just seems that using LJ isn't as professional as it should be.

With twitter completely dominating the microblogging field, it almost seems that blogs like this one, livejournal, typepad & the others have almost gone the way of CRT monitors & floppy drives. It's a bit sad, really. I know livejournal is still very popular in Russia. But it's always been popular there.

Such is the way of technology, though. You have to adapt & it doesn't seem like they're catching up to a lot of other sites.

They'll never be as bad as record companies, though.
