I totally just got 84 out of 100 on a test I had no idea about or hadn't studied for in my computer class. Geek!

Ok, so I just moved into a new apartment complex and our floor has been having some trouble with the internet (DSL). So we go down there to talk to them today and they said that their regular IT guy quit on them and they've been having to find random people to fix things. I spoke up, being the geek that I am and asked to take a look at it.

Mind you, I have no experience dealing with windows servers. If it were a linux server, I may be useful. All I know is it's running xp and it seems to be only our floor that's having problems. I saw rack mounts and linksys firewalls all over the place. Also, they did a virus scan and it seemed that their computer that's running the server has four viruses, which probably isn't good. I was thinking something like a DHCP release renew for only that floor, but I don't know how or if that's possible. If anyone can help me out, I'd love you forever. The IT guy that they called is supposed to call me at some point. I don't have internet access obviously, so the only way to get in touch with me is through my cell phone. So, if you have any ideas 812-345-2751 is the number. I promise I'll try to pick up.

Thanks a lot.
